Floradania Innovation Award was founded in 2008 in order to stimulate innovation efforts within the Danish plant industry. 

In order to be nominated, Danish nurseries must present a completely new variety or a new concept. The winner of the nominated innovations is selected by a panel of judges, consisting of experts from both the plant industry as well as the life style area to ensure as wide a basis as possible for the assessment.
